What's New in the Porsche Panamera?

In 2024 the Porsche Panamera got some key updates for its latest generation, but fret not, Porsche's four-door sports car is still a ferocious performer even with its improved luxury and raft of new tech. Some of the big updates for this generation Panamera include:

  • Porsche Active Ride: With up to 2.2 inches of height adjustability, it makes getting into the driver's seat easier, and balances acceleration, braking, and cornering forces to keep the car level. Plus, the added ride height makes for a more comfortable ride on rough roads.
  • A new look up front now includes a vent above the license plate to aid in cooling and airflow for improved efficiency and reduced heat soak under heavy use.
  • The Porsche Panamera ditches analog controls, a longstanding hallmark, and replaces them with a complete set of digital displays, including one for the passenger.
  • Push-button start is now standard for the '24 Porsche Panamera, replacing the key at long last.

Exterior Design

For a quick visual, you can think of the Porsche Panamera as a four-door Porsche 911. However, when you dig deeper you'll find more details that go beyond the wide fender flares and narrowed LED taillights. The side profile of the new Panamera shows a bevy of curves, starting with the rolling hood, arching roofline, and sweeping rear deck that complete a flowing, alluring design.

From the front, the four-point LED headlights are set into the flared fenders creating a wide valley reminiscent of modern prototype race cars. And with the integrated fog lights and lower grille, you can see that attention to detail matters just as much here as it does on any Porsche icon.

Interior Design

If you thought stunning looks were just for the exterior, one look inside the 2025 Porsche Panamera will remind you that no detail is unimportant to the Porsche design team. Inside, a flat dash panel greets you, integrating the central infotainment display with a near-seamless look. The inset design adds to the elegance of the cabin, unlike other modern luxury cars that have the display stuck to the top of the dash whether it belongs there or not.

A two-tone look can be achieved with a myriad of upholstery choices, so you can truly adorn the cabin of your Panamera with colors and textures that suit your tastes. Complete the look with various wood grain, carbon fiber, and brushed metal trim options, and highlight it all with the ambient interior lighting package for a modern twist.

Performance

There are several engine choices to be had when shopping for your new Porsche Panamera, starting with a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 developing 325 horsepower which sports a respectable 5.3-second sprint to 60 mph. You can also have a 443-horsepower kit, while Turbo S Panamera models deliver a staggering 620 horsepower.

A trio of new models join the new Porsche Panamera models at our Birmingham Porsche Center. With two new plug-in hybrid options and a performance-focused Panamera GTS, you'll now have a quintet of Panamera models to choose from. The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid kicks things off with 463 horsepower and all-wheel drive, while the 4S E-Hybrid kicks things up with 536 horsepower. And in the GTS, you'll get 493 ponies from a twin-turbo V8, plus sport suspension with a lower ride height and stiffer settings for enhanced road-holding capability and cornering response.

As always, you'll get a healthy dose of premium handling with your new Porsche Panamera, and you can feel the precision engineering at work when you throw this two-ton sport luxury sedan into the winding curves around Tuscaloosa. Superior stability and balanced all-wheel drive propulsion make this heavy sedan feel like a true sports car in the curves, while six-piston brakes do well to slow things down. And with new Porsche Active Ride, it offers up to 2.2 inches of ride height adjustment to handle the ever-crumbling roads of Birmingham.

Technology

The 2025 Porsche Panamera now comes out of the box with more tech than ever, offering both Spotify integration and wireless Android Auto to go along with its prior Apple CarPlay capability. You'll also enjoy access to your Panamera with a smartphone app that lets Cullman drivers start the engine remotely, even if you're out of visual range. Plus, push-button start is now standard fare, while a dual-display sits on the center stack and stretches across to the passenger, while a 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster gives you all the info you need from the driver's seat.

Safety

The 2025 Porsche Panamera bolsters its safety features with an array of both standard and optional features. The standard kit includes important features like automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection to help keep you and those around you safe on the busy streets of Irondale. And for added protection on I-59, the Panamera now includes lane departure warning and lane keeping assist as standard as well. For additional driver assistance tech, Gadsden drivers can equip adaptive cruise control with active lane centering that makes highway driving a breeze.
