Porsche Issues Recall 2014-15 Macans

Porsche Cars North America, Inc. is issuing a voluntary safety recall on 17,871 Macan models, specifically cars made between March 4, 2014, and October 20, 2015.

What Does the Recall Mean?

The sensor mat for the occupancy detection system on the front passenger seat may not function properly, which could make the car think it can’t detect a front passenger at all, and as a result, in the event of a crash, the front passenger airbag may not deploy. Porsche to Debut New Models at New York International Auto Show

Porsche will debut four models this year at the New York International Auto Show. The Panamera Sport Turismo features a bold design, bigger tailgate, more space for luggage, and it can seat up to five people.

The new motorsport-derived 911 GT3 is newly developed with a flat-six engine that can get up to 500 horsepower. It can rev up to 9,000 rpm. There is also an available six-speed manual transmission offered as a no-cost to the alternative seven-speed PDK dual clutch transmission.

Twin Turbos in New 2017 Porsche 911 Provide a Big Boost, Says CNET
